"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. – 2 Timothy 2 v. 15

Pastoral Bible Study is lead by the Senior Pastor Rev. Jackson.
Bible Study begins at 7:30PM and ends at 8:30PM on Wednesdays in the "Old Rectory' -Day Care Building".
Last Fall, Rev. Jackson studied the Book of Hosea for several weeks. The Life Guide Bible studies "Hosea" by Dale Larsen and Sandy Larsen was part of the discussion each week.
A summary of the book of Hosea is manifested in chapter 3, verse 1 “The Lord said to me, go show your love to your wife again, though she is loved by another man and is an adulteress. Love her as the Lord loves the Israelites, though they turn to other gods and love the sacred raisin cakes.”
The book is a love story that tells of God’s love for His people and their unfaithful response to His love for them. While God’s love was and is steadfast and His commitment was and is unbroken, Israel spurned God’s love by turning to false idols. This book is a portrayal of a Godly love that was and is both persistent and consistent. In the end, Israel repented and true repentance always opens the way to a new beginning where God forgives and restores.
The good news for us all is that no matter how far we’ve strayed from God in thought, word or deed, He is willing to forgive and restore us once we repent.
