Senior Pastor
Greetings in the name of our Risen and victorious Christ!
Welcome to All. On behalf of the faithful at St Paul’s United Methodist Church of Vanderveer Park, I welcome you to our site and to our family. It is here you can experience the move of the Spirit in the various ways we express our love for God and each other. I invite you to experience our worship services on Sundays. We are fully open for both our vibrant 8:00 am contemporary service, or our 11:00 am traditional worship service.
July 1st has marked a new beginning in the liturgical year, and I invite you to pause and capture its significance. God’s word says “Behold I make all things new”. His promise of redemption gives us an opportunity to become a new creation in Christ. Love is the foundation of God’s ministry and His word carries the weight for all to bear. Together we can find understanding of God’s word, and live as brothers and sisters in the Faith as we minister to those who are less fortunate. This is why we are in Ministry.
We believe that as servants, through our bold actions, we can change the world through our love, our music, our zeal for diverse ministries, our practical teaching, and our desire to right social injustice. We empower our members to fulfill their calling through the development of ministries that touch the lives of many.
We here at SPUMC Brooklyn envision a congregation engaged in and leading community action and being good stewards of God’s creation. We will grow these outreach programs and draw more members into action. This quote is from Mica.
“We are called to act with justice, love tenderly, serve one another, and to walk humbly with God.” (Mica 6:8) REMEMBERING THAT OPEN DOORS, OPEN HEARTS DEVELOP OPEN MINDS!
Come and be blessed!
Blessings,
Pastor Cundy
